The Sanctuary of Truth, the miracle of art, which is a wood carving by skilled craftsmen. It is regarded as the largest wood carving in Thailand. The villagers usually call this Sanctuary of Truth “the wooden castle”. The beauty of this patterns and stories within the carved sculptures reflect the worldview, wisdom, morals and philosophy of the people of the Eastern world. Every piece used to build the Sanctuary of Truth are all wood, without using any single nail in the construction. Each piece of wood carving was connected by Thai wood joints technique. Construction began in 1981 and was voted to be one of the Unseen in Thailand. It is considered a tourist destination that knowledge and philosophy in its beauty. There are plenty of beautiful photo spots, castle carriage service, elephant riding service and boat sightseeing. The Sanctuary of Truth has been built for over 20 years, but it has not yet been completed. The tourists must be careful while visiting, helmets are provided for tourists to wear while walking inside the wooden castle for safety reasons because the construction and carving are still ongoing until now.
